JustEdit at IBC 2005

JustEdit, S.L. will be exhibiting at IBC for the 3rd year running and is hoping the event will prove to be as successful as NAB2005 and BroadcastAsia 2005.

At IBC and for the first time in Europe, JustEdit will present their new range of HD (High Definition) video servers HD500 and HD800. The configurations available are 1 Ch (vsnmatic) and 1-2 Ch (vsnnews). The new HD servers are based on the standard MP&HL MPEG2 up to 80 Mbps, in 720p and 1080i resolution, designed for a network ‘Tapeless’ environment and compatible with the most popular NLE HDV file formats.

Visitors to the JustEdit stand (7.710), will be will able to see a full range of vsn (Video Stream Networks) products for TV automation and digitization including some product versions just released. Modules such as vsnmacsharer which has similar functionality to vsnnetsharer but runs on MacOS. vsnmacsharer is the content manager for the entire vsn digital and automated network and integrates Apple workstations with FinalCutPro in vsn environments.

Version 3.0 of vsnmatic , the Master Control Room Playout and automation systemwill also be on show which now features amongst other benefits, improved integration with other vsn modules.

Updates have also been made to vsnnews which now offers MXF support and improved functionality for journalists’ workstations. vsncg Manual/automatic broadcast of live data tickers, SMS applications and generic data from external links is just one of the new benefits of the enhanced version of vsncg.

The new version of vsnarchive now features support for digital media, detachable disks and Blue-ray discs to archive material as an alternative to video tapes. The archived material is an identical copy of the original and transferring it to local NLE’s is many times faster than real-time.

There are currently over 300 TV Channels in the world using vsn automated systems and new customer deals have just been signed in Spain, Switzerland, France, Santiago de Chile and the UK.

At IBC, JustEdit will be looking to expand its’ dealer coverage by increasing the amount of appointed dealers and partners across the continent.
