Barcelona – 21 September 2005 - JustEdit,
S.L announces high attendance at the vsn
stand during IBC this year, with most visitors already vsn
savvy but looking for more in-depth information and full system
demonstrations. Some visitors, including a significant percentage
from Asia, had met with the team at BA in Singapore earlier this
year and travelled to IBC for follow-up meetings.
Exhibited for the first time in Europe at IBC, were the new range
of high-definition video servers HD500 and HD800,
designed for a ‘tapeless’ network environment and compatible
with the most popular NLE HDV file formats. Attracting much attention
was vsnmacsharer, the
recently announced content manager for editing in Apple’s
Final Cut Pro. Also of interest was the announcement that vsn
systems can now deliver a complete Workflow in both MXF and WM9.
Unveiled at IBC, vsnmatic 3.0
(Unicode) can have its interface in any language and is very soon
to be available in French and Russian. It is also more ‘open’,
faster and flexible. Rundown import-export is also included in the
standard package as a result of several customer requests.
The new vsncg made
a big impact on many broadcasters. It’s recently been enhanced
with an external module which is able to create tickers, sports
templates, contests, sms tv, votes, etc. through importing external
data feeds. It is now also much faster and more powerful (unlimited
real-time layers).
As a result of the increasing popularity of vsn
solutions, JustEdit is looking to open its first
International Branch before the end of the year.
vsn systems are now experiencing great success
in new markets, including Switzerland, South America, Russia and
Turkey. As well as consolidating the work started in these markets,
and as a result of meetings held at IBC, vsn systems
should soon be visible in Greece, India, Egypt, Germany, Poland,
Singapore, Malaysia, Mongolia and the UK.
One of the most vsn recent success stories is
Canal9 in Switzerland, one of the largest newsroom installations
for vsn. This 26-seat digital newsroom for 2 studios
is now live on-air, breaking all installation and training time
records for such a complex system.
