vsn now in India, Siberia, Egypt and London

Barcelona – 10 November 2005 – JustEdit is delighted to announce further international expansion with new system contracts in various countries.

Following their success at IBC recently, JustEdit has been chosen to install a complete turnkey master control room system for an English sales channel, Treasures TV, in the offices of Satellite Operator Arqiva at Gerrard’s Cross, close to London.

The system features programmed line feed ingest, master control room playout with backup, the new titler vsncg+ with video resizing capability, multi-layer in realtime, a network editing system and legal copier vsnlegalrec. Treasures TV have also chosen JustEdit to control and monitor remotely the preview signal from their Corporate Headquarters. The new channel will broadcast from the BSkYB platform on the 21st November.

Following their participation and Broadcast India in Bombay last month, and in partnership with VTI, vsn distributor there, JustEdit also announces their first contract for a complete digital news system, asset management and master control room in New Dehli. Sudarshan TV, a relatively new and predominantly Social programme channel, will soon be the first automated broadcast reference in an Asian country.

In Russia, a number of automation projects make the partnership with Provideo Systems (Provis) very interesting indeed. The first tangible result was the recent installation in Krasnoyarsk (Siberia) of a digital news system vsnnews and master control room operating on vsnmatic for a regional channel ORTV, located in the city. The system, installed by Russian Systems Integrator D&K, is perfectly integrated with vsn software and Canopus Edius NX realtime editing stations. The speed in which the journalists at TV34 can create content is an unprecedented leap forward in Russia.

Media City in Cairo is the first site in Egypt to hold a vsn Master Control Room system, now on air, for Alshababiya TV. vsn’s price/performance ratio was the key issue that convinced the channel’s Managing Director to trust vsn solutions for this new setup.
