The new vsnwiresNRCS module is the most advanced solution for a centralized reception of News agencies wires for TV Newsroom's journalists. It enables real time reception of all text content from the contracted news services. It features a simple GUI that shows all incoming feeds sorted by date, category, priority, agency, etc. Ready to use and/or edit immediately on any text editor through drag&drop operation, vsnwires is a standalone application or integrates seamlessly with vsnnews.

The client module of vsnwires is installed on the journalists' PCs. It has a side-vertical design that sits on top of all running applications. All urgent content can be highlighted or associated to an alarm sound. Searching by free text and configurable fields is allowed.

If the external news agency is sending (ftp and/or html) an associated video file (i.e. Reuters), vsnwires allows previewing and transfering this content to a NLE by clicking the direct link. vsnwires can also handle a low resolution proxy of the footage to manage the network bandwidth more efficiently.

vsnwires server is the rack-mountable server that connects to the agencies STBs via RS-232 or TCP/IP protocol. Compatible with EFE, TELAM, DyN, Reuters, APTN, amongst others, it supports multiport operation as well as ANPA 1312, IPTC NewsML (XML-based) and Reuters' FTP servers.
