JustEdit has recently increased the number of BC automation systems in different countries. |

The most recent customers (2006) include the Russian broadcaster (STS) for its Saint Petersburg branch, the private channel GTRK Omsk, also private Olay TV (Turkey), and a very important complete automation contract awarded by the Egyptian station Al-Rafidien, finishing installation right now. In all cases, the orders include the studio production automation (newsroom systems) and also the master control room playout and automation. An amazing issue is the new interest that these three broadcasters showed in vsnarchive acquired by all of them. A new milestone in vsn’s track record is the project called Ciudades Digitales, promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Industry and financed by the EU, recently on-air in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real). This project sets a new pace in the integration between the ‘classical’ MCR automation and the new interactive TV applications. The Alcázar population will soon enjoy new free DT decoders for this European-level test project. |

Searching for the most cost-efficient new studios, Grupo Cerezo has also chosen vsnnews for its digital newsroom, recently installed at 8Madrid. 8Madrid is a new DTT station, broadcasting 10 channels that cover the Madrid region. At Catalonia, Xarxa de Televisions Locals (XTVL) is facing a complete digitisation process to improve efficiency and reduce production and distribution costs. XTVL has also moved to a adequate brand new premises in the technology-oriented area called 22@ in Barcelona. Xarxa chose a modern, latest generation, vsnarchive based on LTO-3 off-line and on-line videoservers. XTVL ordered also a robot library from Qualstar, automatically controlled by vsn, to provide content archive and retrieve services to all associated channels.
