vsn starts SMS Premium business in America

vsn has recently expanded its SMS Premium traffic operation to the Latinamerican countries, according what Jordi Utiel , President & CEO of the company, said to produ.com.

Through the installation of vsn smstv and the start of the vsn traffic service, Plus TV ( Panama ) recently automated the management of SMS traffic, increasing the daily messages from 80 to 1100. As a consequence, Plus TV is generating an extra income due to the number of SMS received, about 35000 per month. This will also promote a greater fidelity of viewers and more relevance in their advertising contracts.

“This is the only equipment that a TV station buys and immediately generates revenue. We make the whole process, system installation and support. It is a great advantage, because besides showing the messages, it is a very powerful real time graphics server”, stated Utiel.

vsn smstv is integrated with the vsn cg software. It manages the automatic or manual display of data, such as tickers, counters, chronometer, clocks, scrolls, images, SMS applications and generic data from remote servers, plus 2D and 3D animations. The systems works in an unattended way, incorporates numbers and words filters, nicks with photo, monitorized SMS reception interface and differentiated treatment of the SMS according to the programme they are addressed to. vsn provides the client a private Intranet for statistics and counting of SMS, and also provides a website for mobile downloads where the channel can choose among different contents. It can be operated remotely via TCP/IP or RS-232 from external applications and allows customized data import due to its SDK.

According to the commercial manager of this business area, David Olmos, “this application not only generates revenue for the channel but also allows to captivate the audience through interactive programs, such as game shows, musical programmes, chat-tv, debates, interviews and many more applications that are still to come”.
