Value-added agreement, vsnscenes for XDCAM

The first round of the seminar called “Interoperability”, organized by SONY Broadcast & Professional Latin America, was held in Argentina and Chile last week. It's aimed at showing the functionality of the optical disk recording format XDCAM with different non linear editing systems.

Due to its advanced features and ease of integration with the SONY Digital recording technology, vsn scenes has been invited to participate in the round envisaged to visit Colombia , Venezuela , Ecuador and Peru in February, plus Caribe and Central American countries in March.

The main advantages of vsn scenes (compared to other software) is the management and control of the native information on the PDW-1500 (SD), PDW-F30 and PDW-F70 (HD) player or recorder. The vsn scenes tool enables the import of the metadata associated to the original material, and share the media in a tapeless workflow environment.

1.- Read disk info for FAM Mode

2.- Read disk for Network Mode ( vsn scenes supports 2 clients making this process simultaneously)

3.- Read EDL from XDCAM and import native proxy

4.- XDCAM Disk Management

• A.- Change the Name of the disk
• B.- Change the name of all subclips on the disk
• C.- Preview native XDCAM proxy immediately on the disk (in tests performed during interoperability roadshow vsn scenes is faster
• than Vegas 7.0c, Finalcut 5.1.1, Avid Media Composer and Adrenaline)
• D.- Editing new project with preview overdata and proxy

5.- Distribution

• A.-To storage center, over gigabit ethernet and fibre channel.
• B.-To other Non Linear editing system, wrapping of MXF to AVI standard.

6.- Integration with Vegas 7.0 and previous version ( vsn scenes allows saving the new project made over proxy as Vegas EDL)
