Description
This is a newly created position within VSN's marketing team. The Technical Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating a complete offer of marketing materials to help and support the sales of VSN solutions in multiple markets as well as product training courses. Based on a deep knowledge of the VSN system, the Technical Product Marketing Specialist will prepare, coordinate, create and possibly make presentations like technicians and sales people do: company presentations and product demonstrations that will be presented in conferences and sectorial events, online demonstrations and webinars as well as to archive and use these as marketing materials.
The successful candidate will be well experienced in performing sales support tasks in the areas of software and technical installations. The Technical Product Marketing Specialist builds and maintains strong relationships acting as the link between departments with different functions but in search of a common goal. The candidate will build bridges between the Marketing and Sales areas, the Product Development teams and Pre/Post sales Services (Support, Training, Webinars…) with the aim to create and offer high quality marketing materials to help the customer make a purchase choice or solve technical issues or doubts during the training stage or during technical requests. This key position reports directly to VSN's Marketing and Pre/Post Sales managers.
Responsibilities
Creation of key messages
With a deep knowlegde of the VSN architecture and constantly updated of the new developments and product updates, the Technical Product Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the production of information involving the new features and strong points of every product, which can be spread through the company's means of communication.
- Creation of internal reports that incorporate the key points, sales pitch and new features of the product as the basis to create all sorts of commercial documents, presentations, scripts for video-demos, etc. The successful candidate will keep these reports updated in an on-going basis.
Creation of corporate and product materials
The Technical Product Marketing Specialist will have autonomy to create high quality marketing materials and will be responsible for distributing the materials so these are readily available to the sales force and to the rest of the components of VSN's Marketing department. Depending on the type of materials, s/he will work closely with the Marketing or Sales managers to receive support concerning the sales pitch, graphic design, web design or video production resources.
- The successful candidate will provide support in developing contents oriented to final customers and system users, including product brochures, press releases and special articles on the products for the press, advertising and public technical events in sectorial trade shows (product demos, presentation of new product features, etc.)
- S/he will conceptualize the information by designing and generating tables and diagrams of VSN's products and solutions.
- S/he will have autonomy to create scripts and/or video demonstrations of products and for training purposes as well as interactive presentations of the VSN products to be used on the company's website and as supporting materials in trainings, events and sales force. S/he will also be responsible to make powerpoint presentations.
- S/he will collaborate with the R&D department and Alicante's team in writing technical white papers and articles for the corporate's blog and technical newsletter. The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful making and development of said web space/blog (tapeless.tv).
Product presentations
The Technical Product Marketing Specialist is an expert in VSN systems who will make demonstrations and presentations to a wide range of audiences.
- S/he will make or support the technical department in the making of product online demonstrations to interested customers.
- When so required by the technical department, he will act as the company's representative to speak in events, trainings, trade shows and dealers' meetings.
Client audits and Customer Satisfaction Surveys
The position of Technical Product Marketing Specialist gives support to the Services and Post sales department.
- S/he will audit customers whose maintenance/support contracts are about to expire.
- S/he will often prepare and send satisfaction surveys to users of the VSN systems in exchange of a free-of-charge audit.
Management of VSN's users community on the web.
The Technical Product Marketing Specialist is an expert in customer service and support who will manage and coordinate the web's public portion devoted to VSN's community.
Management and dynamization of the community: management of resources (where the products' documentation will be published, white papers, webinars, video presentations, video demos, etc…), creation of FAQs and answers, management and dynamization of the tapeless.tv technical blog, management and dynamization of social networks like linkedin (debates), etc.
