The Universidad Centroamericana "José Simeón Cañas", also known as UCA, is a privately funded, non-profit institution of higher education from El Salvador. The university campus is located in Antiguo Cuscatlán (a city within the metropolitan area of San Salvador), with an area of around 22 blocks, the campus has seven classroom buildings, six lecture halls, three auditoriums, a library, labs, computer halls, one sports center and other facilities such as the Human Rights Institute (IDHUCA), UCA Radio station, the university press, etc. The university has an enrollment of 8,700 students in ten bachelor degrees, five engineering degrees, four educational degrees, two technical degrees and ten graduate programs. All offered courses are taught by three hundred and forty faculty.
