vsn acquires Activa Software

vsn (JustEdit), presided by Jordi Utiel , and Activa Software, led by Jordi Gilabert, have recently decided to join forces so as to offer their worldwide clients the most complete and innovative technologies for automation, tapeless television, and content distribution over IP.

Following the complete acquisition of Activa Software by vsn , the spotlight at the NAB2007 show in Las Vegas (April 16-19 th ) will be the introduction of Activa Software-designed solutions at vsn 's newly re-designed booth (Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth N717).

vsn 's international distribution network will be in charge of presenting and installing already successful solutions like vsn master (previously named Multicon ) and vsn traffic (previously CreaTV ). Activa's products have gained an excellent reputation among broadcasters during their over 10-year existence.

Over 75 channels, including some as notable as Spanish channels La Sexta, TV3, ONO, IB3, and Canal9, as well as others like Star TV ( India ) and Porto TV ( Portugal ) join now vsn's already extensive worldwide reference list.

Through this merger, the entire Activa Software staff joins vsn 's R&D team and Jordi Gilabert joins vsn 's board. They will mainly focus on equipment control and IP transport. vsn will now have development centers in Alicante and Barcelona , virtually doubling their R&D capacity.
