VMax videoserver series from VSN
Built on Matrox XMIO2 platform, the new line-up of SD-HD VDCP videoservers offers many high-end features in a flexible and expandable format

vsn (Video Stream Networks, S.L.) has just launched a new range of videoservers designed to take advantage of the latest available IT hardware and the high-end XMIO2 video board series from Matrox. Several models will be on show at IBC 2008 under the VMax brand name.
Following the standard VDCP specification, the VMax servers are SD-HD multiformat compatible and offer most standard features such as play-while-rec, input-output modularity (up to 2 In x 4 Out), flexible storage capacity featuring fibre channel and/or SAS storage, closed caption, etc. The VMax series has been designed to become the best possible partner for vsnmulticom automation. As a matter of fact, vsn is offering a very cost-effective, yet complete and redundant master control configuration through a compact bundle comprising a VMax videoserver and an embedded vsnmulticom software solution.
VMax is joining the VXtreme family of very affordable videoservers with embedded automation that vsn has already been selling successfully in several regions.
This new family of products will help vsn customers to go one step beyond in terms of workflow flexibility for production and continuity. On the one hand it allows a simple straightforward integration with third parties’ tools, yet providing a extremely powerful all-in-one HD solution from one single manufacturer when required.
