VSN will present in Singapore its new generation of web-based MAM and BPM solution

VSN at BroadcastAsia 2012

VSN will present in Broadcast Asia (19th-22nd of June) its new MAM VSNARCHIVE – Version 5. With this new generation of MAM-Archive, the Spanish company introduces to the Asian market a very innovative solution based in SOA architecture and web interface aimed for Broadcasters, Content distributors and Corporations.

VSNARCHIVE is a MAM that covers all the processes: ingest, catalogue, storage (on-line, near-line and off-line), search and distribution. It’s a multi-media tool that manages simultaneously several types of audiovisual content (video, audio, image, text, etc.) with its own metadata and specific cataloguing structure.

An open and versatile solution

VSNARCHIVE makes up a full open ecosystem tailored for all types of files. It’s compatible with hierarchical storage solutions (HSM) and with traffic and automation tools from most vendors.

Optimizing content with parametric metadata

One of the most innovative features of VSNARCHIVE is the ability to generate parametric metadata for each digital content type and category. This allows a high level of customization, thus the customer can select and modify the metadata used to catalogue the assets and can manage several assets in a single installation. The system incorporates also intelligent indexation and a powerful new generation search engine (Google type). It also has a user interface VSNEXPLORER that acts as the main gateway for the whole system and can be customized as per the user permissions.

A MAM ready for the cloud

As the architecture of VSNARCHIVE is web-based, it allows local and remote installations and facilitates the creation of service business models in the cloud (like SaaS and PaaS). VSNARCHIVE has been developed to be the main tool of any company that distributes content for multi-platform, towards the monetization and universalization of their digital assets.

Other releases:

New applications framework SPIDER

Another highlighted release of VSN at Broadcast Asia is its new platform Spider, an ecosystem with applications and web services, open and reliable for the implementation of Business Process Management (BPM) in the Media and Broadcast industry. VSN’s SPIDER Platform is a cutting-edge framework in a new generation of cloud-friendly software solutions for Media and Broadcast. In fact, this platform opens the doors to the Cloud services in any of its aspects (private, public or hybrid).

The products that will be introduced under this platform or framework are VSNWORKFLOW MANAGER (new workflow BPM manager), VSNSTORAGE MANAGER (Storage and MediaBus manager, VSN’s exclusive) and VSNEXPLORER, the front-end for the entire framework.

New traffic version VSNCREATV 3.6

VSN will also showcase a new BMS or Traffic management solution, VSNCREATV, totally redesigned for multiscreen distribution. The 3.6 version is a very business-oriented solution with a Business intelligence tool that provides customized dashboard and reports and can be integrated with MAM solutions, WebTV or automation from several manufacturers.

Other releases for news production, IP file transfer and graphics

Other important release is the new version of VSNNEWS that willinclude Automatic Wire Feed  Transcoding, Social Media integration and SOA interface with MAM and Archive systems.  All services are now centralized and managed by workers, so the system is completely scalable, despite its size and number of video editing licenses in low or high res.

VSN is also releasing the latest version of its UMP protocol accelerator of file transfer. UMP is available as an independent product or integrated in the IP exchange platform, VSNIPTRANSFER, backbone of the VSN’s solutions offer in the Cloud. The new UMP client adds versatility to the content distribution solutions and Broadcast marketplace.

Finally, VSN will also unveil the version 5.0 of VSNCG+. The new platform for advanced graphics offers a much more powerful GUI, featuring search filters, unlimited possibility of re-do changes and floating window distribution. It’s also compatible with multicore processors and provides 32/64-bit native support.

VSN’s will be showcasing the new releases at the booth 4M3-01.
