The Media Asset Management (MAM) tools are critical mission modules in the heart of a TV channel or a Content Provider.

The edition of the relevant metadata associated to the AV content requires flexible and powerful capabilities in order to keep track of this content all along the different processes involved in the production and broadcast chain.

Seamless integration with automation and traffic software solutions is a plus for customers. VSN’s system also offers integration of all Archive, MAM and News software with Users Management systems like Active directory, LDAP, Domain, etc.. and Avid editing software products.

Furthermore, the system does not alter the format or codecs generated by most NLE video editors like (Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Edius, Avid etc ...) and preserves native codecs such as DVCPRO and XDCAM (mpeg2-Long GOP). MXF, IMX etc ... avoiding any transcoding process from ingest, through editing to playout video servers with the VMAX..

VSN offers VSNNETSHARER and VSNMACSHARER to manage the on-line materials and become the entry level to the ultimate VSNARCHIVE (digital archive and hierarchical storage management module).

In additon to this, VSN now offers its clients the choice to edit contents in the central server remotely with the new Web pre-editing solution VSNWEBCUTTER. An easy-to-use GUI allows for shot selection, in/out point modification and content blending from any Web browser. This tool is also useful for archive retrieval, material clean-up prior to post-production, quality control environments, etc.

The new generation of tapeless solutions includes a powerful workflow manager that employs a simple and innovative script editor. This allows for a deep customization of the standard modules to each customer's requirements.
