The EUMSSI project has been also presented at some of the most important events of the industry.
The EUMSSI project has been also presented at some of the most important events and tradeshows of the Broadcast and Media sectors, such as IBC.

The European research project EUMSSI (Event Understanding through Multimodal Stream Interpretation), in which VSN participates as a developer, is included in the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union for research and technological development and will be presented in Barcelona on next 22nd of September. The main goal of the event is to show attendees the advantages that this type of multimodal analysis technology will offer in a near future to Media companies and all those professional disciplines directly related to data analysis.

The project’s presentation will take place at the Valkiria Hub Space of Barcelona and will start at 15:00 pm with a general introduction of this online tool. After that, there will be a life demo of the product and a complete evaluation of all its functionalities. The event will end up with an open discussion that will debate about the advantages that this type of technology will bring to global information at very different levels in a near future.

Based on multilingual multimodal analysis technologies, the EUMSSI project is able to identify and aggregate information related to a concrete term or theme, based on data extracted from its own database, as well as from some online resources such as newspapers, videos and social media posts. That is, this technology offers users a complete list of all the elements and data about a concrete subject and presents this information already classified (per type of content, relevance, current affairs or opinion), in order to offer users a life overview of the breaking news, facts and events that are taking place at that precise moment all around the world. The EUMSSI project is also capable of analyzing and deduced very different types of data and files (video, images, audio, speeches, texts and posts), either coming from new media (social media) or traditional media.
