TV Zimbo es el primer canal privado en Angola, forma parte del grupo Medianova y transmite por terrestre, cable (con el operador TV Cabo) y satélite (en las plataformas DStv y Zap) con cobertura internacional. El canal quería trasladarse a unas nuevas instalaciones y aumentar, además, su producción de programas de plató y la calidad de sus contenidos. Por entonces, la televisión transmitía en definición estándar, si bien algunos de los componentes soportaban alta definición. Además, el almacenamiento de post-producción presentaba problemas de rendimiento por haber llegado al límite de su capacidad. De ahí que TV Zimbo buscase una solución completa que le permitiese dar respuesta a todas estas necesidades.
