The National Congress of Peru (Peru) - information

The Congress of the Republic of Peru or the National Congress of Peru is the unicameral body that assumes legislative power in Peru. Congress consists of 120 members, who are elected for five year periods in office on a proportional representation basis. To be eligible, candidates must be Peruvian citizens, have passed their 25th birthday, and not have had their right to vote suspended. The last congressional election was held on April 9, 2006, concurrently with the presidential election.

The Congress offers its citizens, through Channel 56, live broadcasting of meetings about legislative, financial and some other issues of public interest.

 

The Congress of the Republic of Peru purchased, in a first stage, 2 playout automation systems, VSNMATIC, the ingest solution, VSNAUTOREC DIRECTOR with 2  VSNAUTOREC CAPTURER for 1 channel. 

Recently, VSN supplied the Congress the solution  VSNMULTICOM and VMAX for a redundant broadcast automation system, and 2 VSNAUTOREC CAPTURER for 2channels.
