The Spanish TV Academy recognizes VSN´s career with the Iris Technology Prize

The award, Spanish TV sector´s most prestigious, recognizes the work done by VSN in more than 20 years of business career, during which it has contributed decisively to the development of the broadcast industry around the world with its solutions.

The Spanish Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has awarded VSN with the Iris Technology Prize 2013, for its “work on the development of television thanks to its wide catalogue of products sold in four continents”, that covers a company´s main needs in audiovisual contents production, management and distribution.

This way, the organization, that groups together the main Spanish TV operators and that integrates around 800 audiovisual professionals, recognizes the role of VSN in offering its clients solutions that contribute decisively to develop the broadcast sector.

Jordi Utiel, VSN´s President and CEO, in the company of Manuel Escribano, the company´s CTO, received the award in a ceremony that was retransmitted through La 1, part of Televisión Española, the public organism and one of the main channels in Spain. In its speech, Utiel had words of appreciation for the support and recognition of the broadcast sector and reassured VSN´s compromise with technological innovation.

Other winners featured in the ceremony were the programme “Espejo Público” and the popular TV serie “El tiempo entre costuras”, both produced by the channel Antena 3; La Sexta´s News; Jordi Évole as Best Reporter, and El Gran Wyoming as Best Presenter.

The Academy has highlighted VSN´s “contribution to the development of television in general and, in particular, in Spain, thanks to its complete suite of products for television companies”, that have been sold in more than 80 countries in the last 20 years.

With this award, the Spanish audiovisual sector recognizes two decades of succesful broadcast solutions, that have taken VSN´s name to five continents and gained the trust of more than 1.000 clients around the world.
