VSN presents a new Webinar edition where it will show the advanced uses and new functionalities that can be extracted from a MAM system when synchronizing it with an MCR solution. Discover how to boost your Broadcast and Media company’s productivity and register now to VSN’s new Webinar that will take place on Wednesday, 23rd of November at 15:00 (UTC+1).
Since its origins, the concept of Media Asset Management (MAM) has hugely evolved in the last years. In fact, Broadcast and Media & Entertainment companies have stopped using it exclusively for archive, cataloguing or movement of files between systems and folders, in order to include it also as a key tool to boost their productivity and business’s control. How can this be done? Thanks to some new best practices taking place nowadays, such as for instance the synchronisation between Master Control Room (MCR) and MAM systems.
This new VSN’s webinar called “How to create a love story between MCR and MAM” will not present what a MAM solution shall have, but also what users should look into when acquiring or expanding it, and what direct advantages provides having it synchronised with the MCR. Some of them could be, for instance, having synergies between several people, teams and departments or orchestrating and unifying all company’s workflows and operations, including video servers, traffic system, quality check and obviously, the MCR.
‘What many users still do not know about MAM systems is that they can become an ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), which will grant more visibility to all the workflows taking place at media companies, as well as more access to all business processes under one roof’, states VSN’s Product Manager, Toni Vilalta.
‘Imagine how your work would be improved if, for example, you were able to send an asset from Traffic to be broadcasted and once the MAM receives it, you were able to include in this asset all the associated Media automatically, in order to prepare files for broadcasting. Now imagine how this task could be even more improved if you could also automatically check your content quality before broadcasting, thanks to a Quality Check solution. And even more! Afterwards, you could also directly send your content to broadcast from the MAM system and save all your files with their associated Metadata at the same time within your storage. This could be a perfect example of what main advantages the integration between MCR and MAM systems can provide you with’, explains Vilalta.
‘How to create a love story between MCR and MAM’ will be live broadcasted on Wednesday, 23rd of November at 15:00 PM (UTC+1). Those people interested in register now and save their place for the event or just to receive a copy of the recording afterwards can do it so through the following link.
