Sergey Pribyl, EMEA Sales Manager

1. Taking into account your previous experiences attending NATExpo tradeshows as a representative of VSN, how would you evaluate this year’s event from a results and lead acquisition perspective?

At VSN, we believe that in order to familiarise ourselves with, and see first hand the innovations and new trends in the industry, NATExpo is a trade show that is a must-attend as we can both align ourselves with the industry while also bringing all our advanced media management and automation solutions and expose them to the Russian market and CIS countries. This year’s event was overall very successful in both of the aspects I just mentioned. Being at Vidau’s stand really helped us gain great visibility and strengthen VSN’s positioning in the region through several product demos and meetings with potential clients.

2. Nowadays, what would you say are the three main drivers within the Broadcast and Media industry in Russia and CIS?

The broadcast and media industry is evolving fast, with new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and 5G, disrupting and changing the way professionals in this industry approach their day-to-day work. However, if I have to choose the three main drivers for the Russia and CIS region, it would be the Studio in a box technology, the Artificial Intelligence engines for old archives reviving and in regards to news-production, the industry is moving towards very cost-effective, multitenant and somehow centralized solutions.

3. If you had to name the main trends and innovations seen in NATExpo 2019, what would they be?

As a continuation to my previous response, I think the main innovations seen specifically at this year’s NATExpo were Artificial Intelligence, 5G and SaaS models, which are all aligned with the general industry interest on workflow automation and optimization for cost-effective solutions.

4. What products and innovations has VSN presented at NATExpo 2019 that can help media companies adapt to the latest market trends and overcome new challenges?

In this edition of the show, we introduced to the Russian market VSN’s latest developments and advanced solutions, adapted to the needs of all our customers in the areas of media exchange and workflows’ management, news and live production and unlimited content delivery. For instance, the latest version of the VSN NewsConnect: a web plugin that now has new integrations with NRCS and CG systems that offer total freedom to decide how you want to produce your news.

Likewise, VSNExplorer’s new functionalities for advanced media management and workflow automation, such as the new BP editor, the image gallery management or the possibility of having an owned Artificial Intelligence system (in the cloud or on premise) that allows addition of metadata to old archives. Also, based on the VSNExplorer platform, we presented the Media Exchange solution, which acts as a content hub, either in the cloud or on premise.

Finally, we showcased the enhanced version of VSNCrea, the new system for Traffic and Scheduling 100% web-based, now with brand-new functionalities for advertising management and planning, and integrated with VSNExplorer MAM for unlimited multi-platform scheduling.

5. Do you find any of the latest VSN innovations and solutions particularly interesting for the Russian market?

From my point of view, the enhanced version of VSNCrea for Traffic and Scheduling 100% web-based if highly interesting as now it counts with brand-new functionalities for advertising management and planning while also being integrated with VSNExplorer MAM for unlimited multi platform scheduling. Moreover, the Artificial Intelligence has been particularly interesting for archive workflows in adding metadata to old archives.

VSN has proved once again that its commitment with the Russian and CIS regions with its participation in this prestigious trade show.
