The management of lower third graphics arrives to VSNCrea TV

VSN’s software for broadcast scheduling and TV planning includes a new functionality that will allow users to manage and plan the broadcast of lower third graphics or ‘auxiliary events’ in any program or live broadcast within a multi-channel environment. This latest feature will be officially presented at the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas that will take place from the 22nd to the 27th of April.

To date, users who owned VSNCrea TV system had to manually insert lower third graphics and program them directly from a continuity automation tool, such as VSNMulticom. Thanks to this new enhancement, VSN’s software for traffic planning allows to associate these lower third graphics or ‘auxiliary events’ for each program, live coverage and TV channel directly within the programming list generated and planned in traffic.VSNCreaTV latest functionality for lower third graphics management will be officially presented at NAB Show in Las Vegas.

More specifically, users will be able to associate to each program the corresponding source or CG, its dynamic text, the type of graphics in question (advertising, self promotion or telepromotion), its duration, its mode of entry and exit, repetitions, etc. In addition, users will be able to schedule predefined templates for auxiliary events, so that lower third graphics can be automatically included in a program or production every time these are scheduled in traffic. This improvement will even allow for the registration and monitoring of all the lower third graphics that have been broadcasted for billing purposes or simply to comply with advertising regulations and with the maximum time established by law in each country for broadcasting advertising or promotional content.

“In the end, this new development for VSNCrea TV will allow users to have greater control and to plan more efficiently everything that they are expecting to broadcast,” says VSN’s Product Manager, Toni Vilalta. “Furthermore, having the possibility of associating auxiliary events to a production or program directly from traffic enables us to streamline work and avoid human-type errors when scheduling the lower third graphics that are going to be broadcasted, “adds Vilalta.

“In the future, we are even thinking about allowing to analyze all the auxiliary events that have been broadcasted to check which have had the greatest impact on advertising, which have monetized more and ultimately, which have been the most profitable. These are just some of the functionalities that we intend to incorporate in the medium term within the tool, since we consider that auxiliary events are also important elements that should be taken into into account in any advertising campaign”, concludes Vilalta.

The latest development of VSNCrea TV will be officially presented for the first time and display live at NAB Show in Las Vegas, from the 22nd to the 27th of April. All the people interested in discovering its features first-hand can already book a meeting or live demo in advance with VSN’s team through the company’s official webpage for this trade show.
