VSN appoints Mario Díaz as Sales Director to boost international expansion

With the aim of increasing VSN’s turnover and consolidating the company’s presence worldwide, Mario Díaz Becar has been appointed responsible for the sales team, including the different regional offices (MENA, APAC, Europe & Africa and Americas) as part of VSN’s new international expansion strategy.

For the last nine years, Díaz Becar has developed the role of VSN’s Sales Manager for Latin America with excellent results and a 30% annual sales increase since 2010. The directive will now join the team at the company’s headquarter in Barcelona (Spain) to coordinate VSN’s commercial efforts worldwide. Its objectives are to improve the sales policy, reach commercial agreement with other companies from the M&E sector to enhance synergies and fortify the bonds of trust with the final client. Now, he will take the role of Sales Director at VSN

Jordi Utiel, VSN’s President and CEO, declares that “we are reorganizing all our operations, from the most basic processes to the most complex, and launching a complete new strategic plan. We are sure that Mario Díaz, in charge of the sales area of the company, will be crucial to meet all the ambitious objectives we have set for the next years”.

Regarding the goals set by the company, Díaz Becar highlights the consolidation of a market share similar to that in Latin America in emerging markets, such as Asia-Pacific, Africa and Eastern Europe, as well as the launching of operations in United States and Canada with well-known and prestigious partners, advanced solutions and competitive prices. “We are going to work together with a lot of effort and sacrifice to be one of the three most influential Media & Entertainment companies before 2018”, declares Díaz Becar.

Another goal of the company’s strategy for the next years is the creation of a SaaS (Software as a Service) business model hand in hand with companies such as Microsoft Azure, something that will allow VSN to access other sectors and markets, thanks to the pay-per-use model, immediate deployment and flexible configurations that grow and adapt to every client´s needs.

Renowned professionals from the broadcast and Media & Entertainment market have expressed its recognition for this appointment and believe that this step will be highly beneficial for the European company, that will benefit from Diaz’s effective work in such an important role.

To fill the vacancy left by the appointment of Mario Díaz Becar as new Sales Director at VSN, Roberto Duif has been appointed as the new Sales Manager for the Americas. Duif has a long experience in VSN as Channel Manager for Western & Eastern Europe, managing important international accounts from the company’s headquarters in Barcelona. Duif assumes his new role with the challenge of keeping VSN’s expansion in Latin America and of identifying and solving the needs of the users from the region.
